Eminem to Tour With Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole

Music Matters stars slated to join Slim Shady in Australia.

It seems as if Eminem's not so mad about Kendrick being king after all. The "Rap God" is slated for an Australian tour and his first-ever show in New Zealand and he's inviting Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Chance the Rapper and Action Bronson to handle the bill with him.

The tour, four stadium dates in February, is being called "Rapture," and according to the promoter, Paul Danity of the Danity Group, it's going to be a potential "game-changing hip hop event," reports Billboard.

"Eminem has generations of fans in New Zealand," said David Dallas, a New Zealand-based rapper who, along with Aussie rapper 360, will be opening. "He's never been here, so it's going to be huge."

Dallas said the energy for Lamar is off the hook, too. When he joined Lamar for an Auckland, New Zealand, show in 2012, he said, "It was completely rammed, the energy and the way people reacted to the record was amazing. They knew the songs inside out."

The announcement of the tour comes after a tumultuous year for Australia as it relates to concerts. Major hip hop festivals were canceled after multiple venue changes and other technical issues rocked the plans. Danity's own attempt at bringing Ke$ha and Pitbull Down Under was nixed. Still, he's hopeful Rapture will become a yearly gig and he's certain Slim can attract a crowd the last show he did with him in 2011 sold out quickly.

Plus, Em's year is going well. Marshall Mathers LP 2 is slated for release Nov. 5 and the collection's lead single, "Berzerk," a Beastie Boys-sounding, Rick Rubin-produced banger, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lamar, Em's Aftermath label mate and the only rap feature on MMLP2, is currently on the road with Kanye West promoting his platinum-selling major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d. city.

Cole is promoting his Born Sinner release, recently extending his U.K. tour (kicking off in November) due to popular demand.

The three will meet up for the first date of Rapture, Feb. 15.
