RZA Joins 'G.I. Joe' Cast

Wu-Tang vet to play combat master.

RZA is expanding his acting portfolio to include action figures. 


The Wu-Tang producer and MC is joining the cast of the upcoming G.I. Joe sequel, directed by Jon Chu. The film stars Channing Tatum and will also include Dwayne Johnson and Elodie Yung as fresh blood to the original cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.


RZA will play a martial arts guru named the Blind Master who trained Joe commandoes characters Snake-Eyes and Jinx in the past. This role in G.I. Joe follows the Wu-Tang member's appearances in American Gangster, Due Date and The Next Three Days as well as serving as director on the Russell Crowe-led film, The Man with the Iron Fists.
