Chris Brown's Art Sells for More Than $60,000 at Auction
If the R&B thing doesn't work out for Chris Brown, it seems he could have a lucrative career as a fine artist. The singer's canvases have sold for over $60,000 at auction, Page Six reports. Two of the paintings, which Breezy created with street artist KAI on-site during Fine Art Auctions Miami’s Urban Art Week, sold for $25,000 each, and a third went for nearly $12,000. Half the proceeds went to charity.
The pair made seven works together, and also painted on a vintage Porsche — then submitted several of the pieces for sale alongside lots by artists including KAWS, Shepard Fairey and Keith Haring.
For now, however, Brown is sticking to music. His new album with Tyga drops Tuesday, Feb. 24.
