Janet Jackson’s family tree is filled with even more star power than fans might have imagined.
During her appearance on BBC "Radio 2 Breakfast Show," the Grammy Award-winning icon revealed that her relatives include several major Hollywood names.
In the clip, uploaded to X on Tuesday, August 13, the 58-year-old was asked by host Scott Mills whether it was true that she was related to musical icon Stevie Wonder, to which Jackson replied, “He’s our cousin.”
The “Together Again” singer shared, “Not a lot of people know that. He’s our cousin on my mother’s side. So is Tracy Chapman” before adding, “So is Samuel Jackson.”
Fans on social media quickly chimed in, with even one X user noting, “Tracy Chapman [100 emoji] can see the resemblance between her and Janet.”
Another person added, “Not surprising at all. Most ppl don’t realize getting into the music industry is all about networking and connections. Once you’re in, you can put on other talented family members and friends. A lot of celebs are related!”
