To help prove that optimistic claim the political climate will birth some healing tunes, Childish Gambino is leading the pack out of the gate, today (November 10) releasing his first single in roughly two years.

In addition to releasing his new track, "Me and Your Mama," Childish Gambino (also known as Donald Glover) confirmed that his forthcoming album, Awaken, My Love!, is slated for a December 2 release.

Naturally, Twitter is already praising Glover for the multifaceted genius that he is. Whether discussing his hit FX series, Atlanta, or his work as a musician, it's starting to become universally accepted that no one is quite doing it like Glover these days.
