Young Jeezy Wants To Do a Joint Album With T.I.
Lil Wayne and Drake may have scrapped their plans to do a collaboration album, but now a different pair of hip hop heavyweights may be stepping up with a joint LP of their own.
Speaking to XXL, Young Jeezy said he's approached his fellow ATL representer T.I. about doing an album together.
“I already been on him man,” Jeezy said of Tip. “I been on him [to make the LP]. We got a record for his album, it’s crazy. A monster! To me I feel like it’s a ‘Put On’. I told him that. Crazy.”
Jeezy said he was inspired after seeing Jay-Z and Kanye West's opening concert for the Watch the Throne tour in Atlanta.
"‘Watch the Throne,’ the tour was big because it was an experience," he said. "At this point, I think I’ve done all the rap tours I can do. Now, I wanna take it to the point where my fans come to my shows it’s an experience. That’s what I felt when I was watching the Watch the Throne show. It was an experience; ‘what they gonna do next?’”
Jeezy and T.I. have been friendly and frequent collaborators over the years, appearing together most recently on Jeezy's single "F.A.M.E."
