Fergie's Response To Her Horrible National Anthem Performance Has People Rolling Their Eyes
Fergie pretty much ruined the national anthem prior to Sunday night’s (February 18) NBA All-Star Game. Luckily, the actual game was good enough to make some forget about her butchering the “Star-Spangled Banner,” but for the rest of us, it’s still ringing in our ears.
At least the former Black Eyed Peas singer is apologizing for her freestyle that didn’t go well. She told TMZ that she was proud to do the performance, but probably would do it a different way next time.
"I've always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA,” Fergie said. “I'm a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn't strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best."
Good for her for owning up to her mistakes. We know she’s better than that anyway. That’s not stopping some though for still attempting to reclaim their time. A lot of Twitter went full Maxine Waters on Ferg’s apology.
I guess you can’t make everyone happy. See some of social media’s response to Fergie’s apology below.
