‘Bruised’: Young M.A Gushes Over Halle Berry Leading Up To Netflix Film, Features All-Women Soundtrack
Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry is gearing up for the release of her latest film and directorial debut with Bruised, streaming on Netflix on Nov. 24. Before the movie begins streaming you can listen to its soundtrack featuring Cardi B, Saweetie, H.E.R., and others.
According to Variety, the Bruised soundtrack dropping on Nov. 19, executive produced by Berry and Cardi B, will have six original songs from artists such as Young M.A., City Girls, Latto, and Flo Milli. Additionally, other women rappers on the soundtrack include Rhapsody and Yung Baby Tate.
Young M.A and Halle Berry recently posted a video of the two of them with the rapper gushing over the actress.
On Nov. 5, the album released its first single and music video “Scared” featuring City Girls.
Additional songs include Cardi B (“Bet It”), Saweetie (“Attitude”), H.E.R. (“Automatic Woman”), Flo Milli (“Blast Off”), and Latto (“Tha F**k”).
“I can’t wait to show it,” Berry tells Variety. “I have to tell you, one of the things I’m most excited about is the title song that H.E.R. sang… and she killed it. So I can’t wait to share with everyone and am super excited.”
Berry will play Jackie Justice, a disgraced MMA fighter who has failed at the one thing she’s ever been good at – fighting, Deadline reports. But when her son she walked out on years ago returns to her front door, Berry’s Jackie has to conquer her inner demons, go head to head with one of the fiercest rising stars of the MMA world, while fighting to become the mother her son truly deserves.
