GQ may stand for “Gentleman’s Quarterly,” but the editorial team at the men’s style mag showed little couth when a fan asked when Chris Brown would ever make the front cover of their publication, posting this snark-filled response on a live chat: "Might be a while. It is Gentlemen’s Quarterly, after all, not Ironically-Named-Magazine-That-Knowingly-Puts-Domestic-Abusers-On-It’s-Cover Quarterly."

To be fair, the screenshots of this diss that are circulating around the Web this week date back to December 2010, and Breezy has since been featured in a spread in the April 2011 Italian version magazine and invited to the U.S. edition's Gentleman’s Ball in New York last October. And since the mag featured Rihanna on the cover of their January 2010 issue along with a tell-all interview that shed light on the 2009 domestic abuse incident that had most of the media ready to write off Brown's entire career, the comments aren’t entirely out of pocket.

Still, as Brown continues his road to redemption with a new album, F.A.M.E., and constant apologies for the incident that continues to haunt his career, it might still be a while before GQ lets him represent on the newsstands—if ever.
