Rihanna Stars on Vogue China Cover Days Before Fenty Beauty Expansion
Rihanna is embracing her inner model on a new magazine cover.
The mogul stars on Vogue China's April issue cover, and RiRi is serving!
Images from the spread dropped on social media on Tuesday (March 26), and y'all know the "Lift Me Up" singer did not disappoint.
In one frame, the mom of two is dripping in a fresh take on cowgirl chic with a matching swagged out jacket, bra, and hat.
Another angle captures the Grammy winner posing while rocking braids and a white ensemble.
"This is a form of protection of our roots, and a tradition left by our ancestors… [it] makes us realize where we've come from," she explained of wearing braids. "This is our lost history. I immediately wanted my children to have their hair braided… it's something in our blood."
During the wide-ranging sitdown, she also discussed the significance of her decision to take the lead in her career aspirations.
"We always want our parents to be proud... I [certainly] wanted to make my mom and my dad proud. But the reality is, I did it by standing up for what I believed in and pursuing my own path and dreams."
Rihanna's interview with the magazine comes as she prepares to expand her Fenty Beauty cosmetic brand in Sephora stores in China on April 1. In 2021, Forbes projected the brand was worth 1.4 billion.
