Cardi B warned her haters that she was making money moves, but apparently not everyone was listening. After Offset revealed that Cardi gifted him with a brand new four wheeler on Snapchat, some critics had a lot to say. One Twitter user in particular called out Cardi’s excessive spending, but the “Bodak Yellow” rapper quickly put the hater in her place with an update about her financial plan.

“Cardi better save her bread. She tryna keep up wit Offset & buy expensive gifts lmao. Chill out for you gotta dance again,” the person tweeted. The tweet was referring to earlier news that Offset had gifted his girl with a $60,000 diamond chain. But while the Twitter user thought her remarks were hilarious, Cardi wasn’t too amused. “I invest. I'll never go broke again bitch. Worry bout your own coins,” the rising star tweeted.

Clearly Cardi was paying attention to what Jay-Z was trying to saying about investments on his latest album, 4:44. Despite a lavish gift here and there, the rapper has been very vocal about her budgeting techniques and often post videos on Instagram showing off her bargained outfits from Fashion Nova and other discounted fashion boutiques. So people should probably not judge the rapper by what she’s buying unless they are her personal accountant.
