Suspect in Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooting Blames Birdman

Jimmy Winfrey claims Cash Money label head should be "held liable as a party in the crime."

Jimmy Winfrey, the man arrested for shooting at Lil Waynes tour bus in April, wants Birdman to shoulder the blame.

In new court documents, Winfrey stated that the “financial dispute” between Weezy and Cash Money Records “is what ultimately led to the shooting."

Though Winfrey doesn’t claim Birdman ordered the shooting, he feels he should still be “held liable as a party in the crime.”

Birdman denied any involvement during an interview with Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez last month. “I don’t know what happened,” he said when asked about the shooting.

“If they gon’ shoot a gun at my child, I got a problem with that,” added the label head. “I don’t care who it is. We got a problem, time will tell it all.”
