Wilt Chamberlain scores 100 points in a 1962 game against the New York Knicks.
In a now-legendary matchup, Philadelphia Warriors star Wilt Chamberlain (1936–1999) scored 100 points in a game against the New York Knicks — a record that still stands in the National Basketball Association today — leading the Warriors to a 169-147 victory. Nicknamed “Wilt the Stilt” for his towering frame (seven-feet, one-inch), Chamberlain was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1978.
