Birdman Has Reportedly Recruited Young Thug for His New Album
Although Birdman has been busy taking care of business, such as attempting to make amends with Lil Wayne and make fans happy that Tha Carter V album will "definitely" be dropping, he's reminding fans that at the end of the day, he himself still has plenty of bars left to spit.
The Cash Money founder recently dropped by Travis Scott's radio show to discuss his forthcoming album, Rich Gang 2.
During his sit-down, Baby offered details surrounding the project, divulging that, at this time, "10 or 12" tracks have already been completed. Even more excitingly, the veteran rapper also shared that Young Thug is set to make an appearance on the album, doubling as the project's only featured guest.
Birdman's decision to only feature Young Thug breaks the tradition the first album set, with the project previously acting as a compilation album featuring artists from both Young Money and Cash Money imprints. Perhaps it is safe to assert that Birdman's ongoing beef with Weezy and Thugger's beef with Rich Homie Quan could have had something to do with the change in creative direction.
Judging from the fact that Birdman said he's already at least 10 tracks deep, chances are we'll hear new music from the rapper sooner rather than later. The project is anticipated to drop on February 17 this year.
