Timbaland Announces New Collab with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado
More than a decade after releasing their hit collaboration "Give It to Me,” Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and Timbaland are reuniting for a new track.
Timbaland initially teased the upcoming single last month with a series of photos from a studio session. The super producer returned to social media on Thursday (Aug 24) with a promotional clip and the project’s official release date, Sept 1.
“THE TIME HAS COME” appeared at the start of the video, featuring clips of the trio recording and performing throughout the 2000s. As it ends, fans can hear the new song as Timberlake sings, "I keep goin', I keep goin', I keep goin' up.” The industry veteran captioned the post, “WE BACK. DA KING HAS RETURN !!!!”
The untitled single will serve as a follow-up to the group's 2007 effort, “Give It to Me,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received a Grammy Award nomination.
