Lizzo Responds To Ye After He Fat-Shamed Her, 'I'm Minding My Fat Black Beautiful Business'
Lizzo clapped back at the artist formerly known as Kanye West after he fat-shamed her during an interview with Tucker Carlson at FOX News.
On Friday, the “Truth Hurts” singer responded to the Chicago rapper’s shots while she performed at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Lizzo addressed the crowd after Ye’s incendiary comments went viral.
"I feel like everybody in America got my motherfu**ing name in their motherfu**ing mouth for no motherfu**ing reason," Lizzo said in the video. "I'm minding my fat Black beautiful business."
She then asked folks in the audience if she could stay in Toronto, adding, "Who can I marry for that dual citizenship?"
BET.com reported that Ye took a shot at his “good friend’s” weight during an interview with Carlson.
“When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots attack her for losing weight because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy,” he said. “If someone thinks it’s attractive, to each his own. It’s actually clinically unhealthy. And for people to promote that, it’s demonic.”
Ye also stated that obesity is “genocide of the Black race. They want to kill us in any way they can.”
