Kylie Jenner Sets Record Straight On Where She Stands With Jordyn Woods
Kylie Jenner is spilling the tea on her relationship with former bestie, Jordyn Woods.
On Monday (Nov. 27), the "Kardashians" star sat down with actor Jennifer Lawrence for a tell-all conversation with Interview magazine. Jenner opened up on the current state of her relationship with Woods.
In 2019, the duo's relationship was affected after a controversial moment between Woods and Tristan Thompson when they kissed while the NBA player was dating Jenner's sister, Khloé Kardashian.
According to Jenner, she and Woods have remained connected.
"Jordyn and I, we always stayed in touch throughout the years and we would meet up at my house and catch up and just talk through everything," she explained. We never fully cut each other off."
The Kylie Cosmetics founder said eventually, they both decided to forgo hiding the progress that had been made in their friendship.
She continued, "And one day, naturally, we were like, we want to get sushi and we don’t want to hide anymore."
During that complex time, Jenner said she reached a silver lining.
"There’s a learning lesson in everything, and I think that in a weird way, everything happens how it’s supposed to happen," she said. "We were so attached at the hip that we needed space to grow into the people that we were supposed to be. I needed that independence and that confidence because she was like my security blanket for so long."
Earlier this month on Hulu's "The Kardashians," the Cleveland Cavalier player has been on a campaign to gain the forgiveness of those caught in the middle of his infamous actions.
"I am in a place now where I can own up to the mistakes I’ve made," he uttered during the tease of an episode.
Jenner and Thompson also had a long, overdue conversation about the 2019 incident in the series. During that moment, the athlete addressed how Jenner was "affected the most because [she was] losing a sister basically."
"You lost Jordyn, who was a big part of your life. I know how much she meant to your life," he said, adding that it "wasn't right, wasn't smart" to engage with Woods.
Thompson and Kardashian are parents to daughter True, 5, and son Tatum, 1. After a series of break-ups, the couple finally called it quits in 2021, according to TMZ.
