Odell Beckham Jr. Had This Answer When He Was Asked If He’d Take A Pay Cut To Remain With The Rams
Perhaps in one of the biggest glow-ups of the 2022 NFL season was Odell Beckham Jr.’s move from the Cleveland Browns to the Los Angeles Rams.
Not only had the star wide-receiver move from a team that eventually didn’t make the playoffs to one now in the Super Bowl, but his individual production skyrocketed as soon as he touched down in the City of Angels.
After signing a 1-year deal with the Rams, it could be argued that OBJ’s 27 catches, 305 yards and five touchdowns over eight regular season games with L.A. played a major role in the team’s high playoff positioning and eventual run to Sunday’s big game.
Regardless of who wins tomorrow, Beckham is going to have to make a decision about his NFL future. This prompted NFL.com writer Nick Shook to ask the wideout whether he’d take a pay cut to remain on the Rams next season.
“Yeah, of course!” he replied, according to Shook. “This place, it feels good in my heart. It feels like a home.”
In the playoffs, Beckham has been spectacular. Against division foe San Francisco, he had nine catches for 113 yards in the NFC Championship.
A good performance on Sunday could mean an extra big payday is coming his way. According to Total Pro Sports, if the Rams win OBJ could net $1 million as opposed to the $500,000 incentive he’ll receive for simply playing in the matchup and losing.
