Mariah Carey's Festive White House Visit With Twins Moroccan and Monroe
Mariah Carey, a.k.a. the Queen of Christmas, took her holiday cheer to the White House with the most adorable elves: her twins Moroccan and Monroe.
The songstress posted snapshots on her Instagram showcasing her White House visit along with her 12-year-old twins, whom she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon. The trio engaged in a conversation with President Joe Biden in the Oval Office, capturing heartwarming moments with Monroe holding hands with her mother on one side and Moroccan striking a pose on the other.
Carey also had the opportunity to meet with Vice President Kamala Harris and explore the festive Christmas decorations within the White House, capturing a joyful moment with her three children in front of a beautifully adorned Christmas tree.
She captioned the post, "Last week I had the pleasure of meeting President Biden & Vice President Harris at the White House to ring in the holiday season! While there, we got to see all the festive decor and spread some cheer! 🎄❄️☃️."
For the occasion, Carey dressed in a glittering ensemble that she coupled with pink platforms. Moroccan wore a blue blazer, khaki trousers and Nike sneakers while Monroe donned a textured blazer, patterned skirt and loafers. Together, they proved to be a stylish family.
Supporters quickly flooded the comments section to commemorate the visit. One fan expressed, "She is a national treasure," and another enthusiastically wrote, "MARIAH 2024‼️." Yet another commented, "You look beautiful, friend!"
While the comments remained overwhelmingly positive, some criticized the five-time Grammy Award winner for affiliating with the president during the Israel-Palestine conflict. "Oh, Mariah. This is so tone-deaf right now," expressed a disappointed fan.
Another dissatisfied follower wrote, "Why would you even want to be seen with him!??"
It seems that the pop star is including the twins in her appearances more often. For the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, they took the stage to present her with the Billboard Chart Achievement Award for her timeless holiday hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You."
"I couldn't ask for better presenters than Roc and Roe," she expressed at the time. "Thank you guys."
Carey recently concluded her well-received "Merry Christmas One and All!" tour, concluding with her final performance at Madison Square Garden. Her children accompanied her throughout the tour.
During a November interview with ABC News' Juju Chang, Carey mentioned she is unsure if her children will follow in her footsteps but said that "they're both really talented across the board."
