  1. Gotham Comedy Club

    Over the past decade, Gotham Comedy Club has been bringing in comedians such as Dave Chappelle, Lewis Black and Colin Quinn, to name a few. Gotham Comedy Club has become an actual set for many TV shows and films such as Jerry Seinfeld's 2002 Miramax film Comedian and Larry David's pilot for Curb Your Enthusiasm.

    New York Comedy Club is located in the Gramercy neighborhood. Since 1989, it has been a hit comedy club in Manhattan. The classic brick wall behind the stage, candlelit showroom and traditional drink menu all pay tribute to its legacy. Under new ownership since 2014, NYCC still features the best comedians in the city seven nights a week, plus an updated front bar with pre- and post-show drink specials and a whole new fun, anything-can-happen vibe.

    The Comedy Cellar uses a showcase format as opposed to a headline format like most clubs. A show consists of between five and seven comics performing sets of roughly 20 minutes each. Performers have included some of the greats: Dave Chappelle, Jim Norton, Marc Maron and Darrell Hammond just to name a few. The New York Post regularly rates the Cellar as the best comedy club in New York.
