After several reports that Dreamchasers rapper Omelly was shot on Monday (September 4) in North Camden, New Jersey, we can rest assured that all is well now that he’s taken to Instagram with a response to concerned fans and family members.

According to The Shade Room, reports circulated that Omelly, who is also the cousin of Dreamchasers leader and MMG rap star Meek Mill, was sent to the Cooper University Hospital after the shooting. Scarce details on Omelly’s injuries, the cause or the culprits behind the shooting were released. Support and prayers for the “Play By the Rules” artist began flooding in and, apparently, reached Omelly amid the reported incident.

“Took it and smiled,” he wrote in a caption on Instagram. Omelly posted a photo of himself, which appears to be from an earlier date, in high spirits while standing on a roadway. “Special thanks to everyone for the support. #DC4LIFE #winsandlosses #RIPLILSNUPE.”

Though he has not definitively confirmed the reports, we’re happy to know that he’s doing OK and is keeping his head up.
