King Los Signs With 88 Classic, RCA Records
King Los and After Platinum have landed a deal with 88 Classics/RCA Records, the Baltimore rapper announced on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning Thursday (Oct. 23).
The record contract coincides with the release of his new track, “Only One of Me,” which precedes his upcoming debut album, executive produced by Diddy. “After Platinum and RCA coming together is history in the making. This is an incredible home for us, and the perfect platform for us to reach the next level,” said Los.
“It was very important to us that we join a team whose goals for Los’s career aligned with ours,” noted After Platinum Entertainment CEO Ernie Romero. “We’ve spent years getting to this point, and we look forward to taking his career to new heights alongside RCA.”
Los, 32, recently appeared on the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher, toured with Kid Ink and previously earned Kendrick Lamar’s praise for his “Control” verse rebuttal. In addition, Los has released over a dozen mixtapes, the most recent being Zero Gravity II, from earlier this year.
