Tiffany Haddish's Response To Hollywood's Diversity Issue Has Twitter In A Frenzy
Tiffany Haddish, since becoming a household name, has experienced her fair share of public scrutiny, and her most recent comments have seemingly widened the target on her back.
Following Haddish's Emmy win for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, a People representative asked the actress to share her thoughts on how Hollywood can more successfully tackle its long-standing problem of diversity.
Her unabashedly brash response took many by surprise and left others asking, "What did you expect?"
In the heavily dressed question, the journalist asked Haddish if she had any "thoughts of how we could kind of get to that next hurdle?"
The Girls Trip star shared that she can only control her personal contributions to the industry before adding that it's not her responsibility to facilitate diversity in Hollywood.
"Girl, no, I don't know how to do that, and I didn't go to college for that. I didn't go to college at all, nor do I know how to solve problems like that," she said. "If you was asking me how to structure a joke, I could help you with that part. But, what you talking about now — I don't know. I don't know. All I know is how to do my job. That's somebody else's job. I don't know that. Can't answer that for you. But I won!"

As expected, the Twitter community was swarming with reactions to Haddish's unapologetically honest words. Several users took to the platform to express their disappointment in her for failing to take that moment to share some more insightful rhetoric on the ongoing topic.
