Adele Hopes to Collaborate with Beyoncé
Adele may be between albums right now, but there's one dream collaboration that remains on the hit singer's mind. In an interview with French radio station NRJ, the U.K. export said she can't wait for the opportunity to sing with Beyoncé.
"I adore Beyoncé, I've been listening to her since I was about 11," Adele said. "I think her work as an artist and a singer is enviable in terms of the length of her career and how she's grown and grown, but most of my inspirations are [from] old music and sadly they have all died."
Adele's admiration for Beyoncé is mutual. Last year, Bey was quoted as saying that listening to the Grammy Award winning singer is like "listening to God." The two pop diva's had reportedly been scheduled to sing together on stage last summer when Beyoncé headlined Glastonbury in the U.K., but Adele was unable to perform due to vocal troubles.
In the same interview, the 23-year-old star said fans will have to wait a while yet for a new Adele album. She's going to take some time to experience life before she gets back into the studio.
"If I didn't write my own songs, I'd be out next week with a new album," she said. "I have to take time and live a little bit. There were a good two years between my first and second albums, so it'll be the same this time."
In the meantime, Adele said she would release an unannounced new single "probably by the end of the year," which some believe could be the theme for the upcoming Sam Mendes-directed James Bond film, Skyfall.
