For a Throwback Thursday Instagram post Gayle King shared how her family spent Thanksgiving, a holiday first for her newborn grandson Luca.

According to King’s caption, the family traveled to paradise to enjoy some quality time, unbeknownst to her grandson. The tv personality and broadcast journalist shared pictures alongside her daughter Kirby and son-in-law Virgil, who are the new parents, as well as her son Will.

In the photo dump, each family member is seen embracing the newest addition to the family, followed by a group shot of everyone at Thanksgiving dinner wearing homemade turkey hats. King noted that her sister, who teaches first grade, brought the supplies to make the hats.

In one of the photos King shared a family creation, wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, consisting of dominos, playing cards and casino chips. The final picture in the carousel shows a precious moment between King and her grandson by the pool.

It looks like Gayle and her family are more than ready to continue creating new traditions with her grandson in tow.
