Rhymefest Announces Plan For Kanye West’s Childhood Home And It’s Absolutely Amazing
While many are keeping Kanye West in their prayers and awaiting updates following his hospitalization, Rhymefest is shining the spotlight on an incredible cause that Yeezy surely would more than approve of.
The recording artist and frequent Ye-collaborator took to his Instagram earlier today (Nov. 25) to share the exciting news that he has purchased Kanye West's childhood home in Chicago and is utilizing the space to better the community.
"I'm excited to announce the purchase of Kanye's childhood home as a community Arts incubator," Rhymefest shared with his followers. "It will be the first of our Nationwide Lite-Houses. A state of the art recording studio, a curriculum space for @dondashouse and southside music museam."
Rhymefest currently serves as the Creative Director for West's Donda's House program and, as exemplified by his recent purchase of Ye's childhood home for the sake of the organization, is doing everything in his power to make his friend proud.
"We want to show bright spots in communities thatve been divested from, we know more Lights exist here, they just need to be activated," Rhymefest added.
West launched Donda's House back in 2013, which not only honors his late mother but is built off of her own research and career. The organization focuses on providing training and education in the arts to the youth in his hometown, Chicago.
