Azealia Banks Posts Harrowing Video After A White Neighbor Allegedly Pulled A Gun On Her
Fans are rallying around Azealia Banks after the Harlem rapper published a harrowing video to her Instagram Stories Wednesday morning (Feb. 5).
She uploaded a series of alarming clips where she claimed that one of her neighbors pulled a gun on her. According to Banks, a neighbor, whom she says was a white man, pulled the weapon out on and spewed slurs at her all around 6:30 a.m., according to HotNewHipHop. “I don’t even know who this n**ga is. He was like ‘Oh, I’m a criminal attorney and I’mma put you in jail.’ I’m just like ‘for f**king what?’”
“I’m not even joking,” Bank tearfully said in the now-deleted video. “Please come to my house. If you’re a block away or down the street, just come to my house so I can call the cops.”
It is not clear what caused the dispute, but Banks says this isn’t the first time she’s felt that her life has been threatened by that particular neighbor.
“This is the second f**king time,” she said. “He does the same racist spiel, and the way he pulls the gun out, he knows he can just shoot me and kill me.” In a separate clip obtained by Baller Alert, Banks shares that she was afraid to call the cops because she lives alone and she has no family in California, adding that she’s the only Black girl on the entire street.
Additionally, Azealia said she was afraid to call law enforcement without someone else present to back her up because she feared the cops might take the neighbor’s side over hers. Thankfully, fans close to her vicinity were able to make their way to her house where they kept her company and comforted her after the harrowing incident from this morning. Some fans at the scene gave a status update on Twitter where they shared that responding officers handled the situation.

Banks later published additional statements to her Instagram Stories where she spoke on the incident and thanked fans for their support. She shared that she was “a bit traumatized”, but will be okay.
“Thanks to everyone who came to me and everyone for being super vigilante about this. I’m leaving here tomorrow but felt it was important to make my whereabouts public in case this crazy guy decided on anything strange” she wrote. “That was a lesson in adulthood because I never want to be that afraid ever again.”
We’re sending prayers and support up for Azealia during this time.
