Game Launches New Label, Rolex Records
Game isn't just working on a new album, he's also planning his own record label. In a recent interview with Billboard, the West Coast hit-maker revealed that he's launched a new label with old friend and former colleague Stat Quo called Rolex Records.
"We've been up and running for about 30 days. We're gonna do it big though," Game said. The "Celebration" rapper said he and Stat Quo had kept in touch ever since their days together at Aftermath.
"He was signed to Aftermath with me in the beginning. Now we're business partners, which is cool because he was a good friend of mine and he's just as equally music smart, so we'll see how it goes," he said.
With his Interscope contract up following the release of Jesus Piece on Dec. 11, Game plans to release his own music through Rolex Records going forward. Besides himself, however, no plans to sign other artists are yet in the works.
"We're in the baby stages," Game said.
In the past, Game had teased the possibility of signing with Cash Money.
