Amy Winehouse's Mansion Goes Up for Sale
Nearly a year after her untimely death, Amy Winehouse's family is putting the late singer's Northwest London mansion on the market. The family made the tough decision to sell the 2,500 square foot home after concluding that it would be too difficult to inhabit a place that she loved so dearly and passed away in last summer, according to the Associated Press.
"It was not practical to keep it empty while paying the costs of its upkeep," Chris Goodman, a spokesman for the family said, noting that they are selling the home with "great regret."
The large estate near Camden Square features three living rooms, three bedrooms — including a master suite with a vaulted ceiling — and front and rear gardens. It's expected to sell for 2.7 million pounds or $4.2 million U.S.
Winehouse died last July from alcohol poisoning.
