Bills Assistant Coach Arrested for Punching Boy

Aaron Kromer allegedly threatened to kill victim's family.

This a fishing trip gone wrong. Way wrong.

Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was arrested early Sunday morning after he allegedly punched a boy in the face and threatened to kill his family during a fishing trip in Florida, ESPN is reporting. Kromer has been charged with a misdemeanor battery charge.

The Walton County, Florida, sheriff's office told ESPN that Kromer and his son confronted three boys about their use of beach chairs. Kromer, 48, allegedly threw one of their fishing poles into the water, before pushing one of the boys and punching him in the face. Kromer allegedly demanded that the beach chairs be returned to their rightful place and warned the boy that if he called the police, he would kill his family.

Kromer was booked nearly two hours after midnight early Sunday and released on bond at 3:10 a.m., the Walton County sheriff's office told ESPN.

Bills coach Rex Ryan hired Kromer in January after the assistant had spent two years as the Chicago Bears' offensive coordinator.

"We are aware of the report and in the process of gathering the facts," the Bills said in a statement to ESPN.
