Why Megan Thee Stallion Teared Up Over Beyoncé Collaboration For ‘Savage Remix’
Megan Thee Stallion was overcome with emotion over her collaboration with Beyoncé, which has always been a goal for the Houston rapper.
On Wednesday (April 29), fans were shocked after Megan dropped a remix to her hit song, “Savage,” that came embedded with a feature from none other than Mrs. Knowles-Carter herself.
Soon after the remix dropped, the “Hot Girl Summer” rap star took to Instagram to relish in the moment with her fans. Megan has been vocal about her desire to collaborate with Beyoncé, but even she was astonished at how soon it materialized.
“I know that they say manifest it, but b***h...it’s a real thing! That is a real thing!” she exclaimed on Instagram Live before turning on the “Savage Remix” to turn up with her fans.
Megan also spoke on how much the collaboration meant to her, recalling crying on the phone with her grandmother for 30 minutes when she first learned the big news. She started tearing up describing how much of an impact Beyoncé and Destiny's Child had on her growing up in Houston.
“It’s really crazy ‘cause my mama was like a really huge fan of Beyoncé. ”She used to make me watch a lot of Beyoncé stuff,” Megan said, wiping away tears.
“For Beyoncé to even do a song with me, I really have been out for like two years. This the beginning of year two...like Beyoncé?”
