65th Annual Grammy Awards: Kendrick Lamar Wins ‘Best Rap Album’
Kendrick Lamar won the 46th Annual Grammy Award for “Best Rap Album” with Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.
The Compton emcee took home the award over contemporaries Pusha T (It’s Almost Dry), DJ Khaled (God Did), Future (I Never Liked You), and Jack Harlow (Come Home the Kids Miss You).
During his acceptance speech, K Dot told the crowd: “Thanks to my family for giving me the courage to share my vulnerability.”

With the win, Lamar has now won "Best Rap Album" three times – previously being victorious for his LPs To Pimp a Butterfly in 2016 and Damn. in 2018. Earlier during the Grammys pre-ceremony proceedings, his single “The Heart Part 5” took home trophies for “Best Rap Performance” and “Best Rap Song”.
Kendrick Lamar was the most-nominated male artist at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards, securing a total of eight nods. Only Beyoncé, with nine, surpassed the rapper.
