Who Is Drake Talking To: 'Watch How You Speak on My Name'

Sounds like a warning.

Whenever an artist is leading the nominations at an annual awards show, or even nominated at all, the pressure is on to deliver a memorable speech upon accepting any and all awards.

Drake, however, chose to keep it pretty simple and straightforward, save for the part where he dropped what can only be considered a fair warning that he won't be playing around if he hears someone not putting respek on his name.

Last night (Nov. 21) at the American Music Awards, Drizzy was nominated for a total of 13 awards, taking home the prize for Favorite Artist Rap/Hip-Hop, Favorite Album Rap/Hip-Hop and Favorite Song Rap/Hip-Hop.

After thanking the likes of FutureFetty Wap and Kyla, he then decided to talk a little a bit about hip-hop culture and remind fans he has new music on the way. In true Drizzy fashion, he then fired a vague shot directed at any rapper who may a problem with him.

"For our genre, I like to keep things exciting and keep making music," Drake says during his speech. "Shout out to everybody that’s trying to do the same thing. More Life is coming soon and more chune for your head top so watch how you speak on my name, you know?"

He then points at the audience and walks off stage, leaving us all wondering who exactly the 6 God might be coming for next.

Take a look at Drake's acceptance speech in the clip below.
