The youngest Braxton sister isn't the least bit ashamed about her love for wigs and weaves so much so that she claims she's become a "slave" to hair pieces thanks to the versatility they provide. On her family's reality TV show, Braxton Family Values, Tamar Braxton can usually be seen sporting one style in one episode and a completely different look the next.
“Whether I wear my hair straight or curly really just depends on how I feel,” Braxton tells Essence.com. “If I feel like I want to be a little more glamorous, I will wear it straight. If I’m feeling a little flirty, I’ll wear it curly but my favorite wig is the straight one with bangs and blonde highlights.”
“I have become a slave to the wig and the weaves,” she continues. “I love the quickness and the fullness. Plus I would never dye my hair because it falls out like a bolt of lightning.”
But despite her love for hair pieces, Braxton says she keeps her natural hair well maintained underneath.
“My number-one priority is healthy hair,” Tamar says. “When I do wear a weave, I don’t keep it for a long time and I make sure my own hair is braided and very well moisturized. I also don’t put any chemicals in my hair.”
Perhaps she'll give audiences a glimpse of her true roots when her own reality TV show Tamar & Vince airs later on this year.
