YNW Melly Denied Bond, Awaits Retrial Over Double Murder
Henry had been out of prison since Aug. 2021 after posting bond and was under monitoring as a condition of his release. His trial was originally scheduled to begin on Oct. 2, but has since been rescheduled for Jan. 12, 2024.
Bortlen, born Corlen Henry, is accused of helping Melly cover up the murders of 21-year-old Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams and 19-year-old Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas in 2018. Melly himself is waiting for a judge to rule on a motion to dismiss the homicide charges against him due to alleged prosecutorial misconduct.
