J. Cole's "Work Out" Goes Platinum

Another milestone moment for J. Cole.

J. Cole just earned his first platinum plaque.
The Roc Nation star has sold a million copies of his hit single "Work Out," news he announced to his fans on Twitter Wednesday.
"Work Out is Platinum. Always follow your heart. Much Love," he wrote, including a photo of the certification designation from the RIAA.
The track served as the lead single from Cole's debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, which was released in September of last year.
2011 was a breakout year for the 26-year-old North Carolina native, who was also nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy, had the number one album in the country and headlined an international tour.
On the Grammy nomination, Cole's boss and mentor, Jay-Z, recently said the up-and-comer has already won the award as far as he's concerned.
"I think he's already won Best New Artist, to me," Jay said. "His journey is what I'm really excited about."
