John Legend Had The Sweetest Things To Say About Chrissy Teigen's Strength During Her IVF Treatments!
John Legend is the epitome of a supportive husband! The All Of Me singer recently opened up to People Magazine about his active role in supporting his wife Chrissy Teigen during her IVF treatments, and the details will have you swooning.
Before heading onstage to perform at the Ashley and Pandora Home Tour event in Los Angeles on Friday, Legend revealed that his children are “excited” about the possibility of having another sibling.
"They know we are trying, and they are excited," the entertainer revealed when asked if Luna Simone, 5, and son Miles Theodore, 3, were aware of the process.
Chrissy recently shared with Entertainment Tonight that she successfully completed the egg retrieval process. “Everything is good. I finished my IVF part, so I feel so much healthier and so much better with that,” the proud mom shared about her in-vitro fertilization journey. The IVF news came a little over a year after the couple suffered the pregnancy loss of their son Jack.
The compassionate EGOT winner went on to explain that the process is “not easy” and later celebrated his wife’s strength and overall transparency.
"There are a lot of women and families that have fertility struggles, and I think no one should feel ashamed of needing some help sometimes," he shared. "And I think Chrissy's done a good job of destigmatizing some of these things that so many people go through in silence."
He continued, "Whether it's IVF, or other fertility struggles, whether it's losing a pregnancy, I think both of us have felt like it's good for us to share this with other people because other people are going through it too, we don't think they should suffer in silence without knowing there are other people out there who are feeling the same thing."
ICYMI: Chrissy has been very vocal about her IVF treatments, especially on social media. In a lengthy Instagram post, she wrote in part, “I wanted to let you guys know I’m balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos."
She continued, “I honestly don’t mind the shots…they make me feel like a doctor/chemist…but the bloating is a b****.”
