'All The Queens Men' - A Royal Affair
The employees of Club Eden often talk about loyalty. Sometimes, that loyalty is professional; other times, it's familial. But it's often never romantic. Our cast of characters is too caught up in a mess to maintain any semblance of a healthy relationship, but a few pairings have remained a staple of the show. Let's take a look at where each one stands as of now.
Babyface and Ms. Tandy
Babyface is one of Madam Deville's senior dancers and easily her most arrogant. Tandy is running for mayor and has a history of engaging in dangerous sexual kinks. They both want something from each other, and it's not romantic. Babyface is Tandy's boy-toy, and she's his meal ticket. Because of her newfound political career, Babyface will make a lot more money and buy him new cars, but Tandy has been instructed by Madam to keep their encounters on the low.
Amp and Dime
Madam's troubled nephew Amp has the most romantic potential of anyone in the group, but he's a hothead constantly blindsided by his aunt's criminal nature. This has caused complications in his romance with DJ Dime. She's a good girl, and Amp was once a good boy. However, his frustrations with Madam led to drinking, drugs, and involuntary manslaughter. As he spiraled, Dime turned her affections to new dancer Big D, a police informant and self-proclaimed New Orleans gangster. Dime is coming back around to Amp, but only if he gets his head on straight.
Doc and Davis
Initially, Detective Davis wouldn't be seduced by the senior dancer, but who could resist someone portrayed by the legendary Bolo? They've always been hot and heavy, but Doc used her attraction to gain intel for Madam. As their sexual relationship progressed, Madam became more frustrated that he wasn't coming back with enough information to justify the time spent. Doc was also accused by another dancer, Midnight, of catching feelings for the detective. Finally, Madam pulled the plug on the entire thing. Davis and Doc are forbidden to be together, but we know they're both very hard-headed.
Madam and Concierge
Madam and the Concierge seemed like the perfect match. They both have money, power, and endless resources. Not a lot of men could hang with her. But, a series of double-crosses and violent acts put their budding romance on ice and the Concierge on the run. After she killed his wife, he made several threats against her father using his brother Fernando. The Concierge remains mostly in the shadows these days, always at a distance but still very close.
Whether or not he makes another formal appearance remains to be seen, but one thing is sure — no one on the show needs to get laid more than Madam. This queen may not need a king, but is the occasional recreational romp too much to ask for our show's lead? I don't think so.
