Drake and Keke Palmer to Voice Roles in “Ice Age” Movie
Drake and Keke Palmer are set to voice roles in the fourth installment of the animated Ice Age series. The film, called Ice Age: Continental Drift, is set to be released on July 13, 2012.
The cast includes regulars Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary and Sean William Scott. Other new folks joining the cast include Jennifer Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Aziz Ansari and Jeremy Renner. The first three Ice Age movies made a combined $2 billion worldwide, and the studio is betting the latest film will push that number skyward.
It’s not Drake’s, also known as Aubrey Graham, first acting gig, of course. He’s been appearing on the screen since 2001, and even played a regular role on Degrassi: The Next Generation for eight seasons. He also has other movies in the pipeline, including 2012’s Arbitrage, with Susan Sarandon and Richard Gere.
Keke Palmer landed her first film role at the age of 9 and is best known for her roles in Akeelah and the Bee, Madea’s Family Reunion and The Cleveland Show.
Keke will be playing “Peaches”; no word yet on the name of Drake’s character.
