Snoop Dogg Shares ‘Funky Christmas’ EP
Snoop Dogg has arrived just in time for the holidays with some new Christmas music for his longtime supporters.
The legendary rapper released the Funky Christmas EP on Dec. 17. The two-track project trades in the rap bars that he’s known for in favor of just what the name claims it to be, funk.
It appears that Funky Christmas won’t be the only project that Snoop puts out during the holidays. HipHopDX reports that the rapper is preparing to release an album, Take It From a G, sometime this month.
Along with the fact that he’s linked up with Too $hort, E-40, and Ice Cube for a reported supergroup of sorts, it looks like Snoop is sitting on a stash of music for fans to receive.
Recently on The Breakfast Club, Too $hort spoke about the supergroup that Snoop is a part of. “Long story short man, we made a lot of songs,” he said. “And it isn’t really definite of what it’s gonna be but it’s gonna be something — it’s just a lot of songs. There is no [group] name. We just some OGs; everybody got studios, and facilities and rap beats … it’s something like I feel we’re doing this for Hip Hop.
