Viola Davis Is One Grammy Award Away From Securing EGOT Status

The actress received a Grammy nomination for her memoir, 'Finding Me'.

Actress and author, Viola Davis, can make history and achieve the coveted EGOT status after being nominated for a Grammy Award for her nomination in the “Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording” category for her memoir, Finding Me.

The How To Get Away With Murder alum has previously won an Emmy award for How to Get Away With Murder, an Oscar award for her role in the movie adaptation of the August Wilson-penned play Fences and two Tonys for Fences and King Hedley II.

This will make Davis the 18th EGOT winner if she can snag the victory on February 5th at the 65th Annual Grammy Award ceremony. She will join other EGOT winners in John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, and Whoopi Goldberg.
