J. Holiday Was Mistaken For A Valet While Staking His Claim As A “King Of R&B”

"Not with a Gucci jacket on…”

While “B.E.D.” crooner Jacquees set the internet ablaze with his claim as “this generation’s King of R&B,” several of R&B’s finest chimed in to place their bets on who actually can claim the title with a host of reasons why. Tank listed himself, alongside R. Kelly, Chris Brown, Usher and Trey Songz, as the rightful owners of the coveted throne. Tyrese and Pleasure P had lengthy messages as to why Jacquees needs to pump his brakes on this conversation. After Dru Hill soulfully pleaded about finding someone “in my bed” back in 1996, J. Holiday arrived in on the scene in 2007, ready to “put you to bed.”

Now, the DC native has more than a few thoughts on who he feels is the King of his beloved genre. “From one R&B singer to the rest of y’all motherf*ckers, listen here,” he began. “That sh*t, that bullsh*t that man said… there’s three kings of R&B. The first one sold 20 million on his first album. The second king of R&B is from Chicago. And the third one is from Tappahannock. Four and five, right here,” referencing himself and an unknown man.

  • However, while weighing in on the viral war, he was asked if he was valet.

    His response was classic.

  • “I’m not valet baby. Not with a Gucci jacket on…”

The internet had a field day with the shady accusation.
