Video of Man Helping Homeless Person on NYC Subway Is Heartwarming
A video of a man taking off his shirt and giving it to a homeless man went viral over the weekend. The kind gesture happened on a downtown subway train in New York City Friday.
A bystander named Lazaro Nolasco filmed the act of kindness and posted it to his Facebook page, where it received more than 5.8 million views, according to the New York Daily News.
The footage shows a man only known as "Jay" helping the shivering man put on the shirt. He also placed his hat on the man's head. Nolasco says that he overheard Jay ask the man if he wanted to go to the hospital.
Nolasco exited the train before he could see the outcome of this heartwarming story. But the moment definitely impacted him in a positive way.
“The guy did a good deed, so I wanted to record it,” Nolasco told the Daily News. “I would tell him, ‘God bless him.’ That was thoughtful.”
