As Thompson stood on the tracks, two trains approached her and the photographer. When Thompson stepped out of the way of a BNSF train, she moved directly in front of a Union Pacific Train, which struck her, according to Buzzfeed News.

Thompson's fiance, Darnell Chatman, claimed the two were expecting their first child.

"She said, 'You're going to be a dad again,'" Chatman told the Eagle regarding a phone call he received from Thompson.

Chatman has since set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral costs.
