Beyoncé premiered her sixth music video from her album 4 and one thing’s for sure: it’s not your garden variety “Party.”
The diva took over a mobile home park last summer and staged a rowdy backyard barbecue and pool party packed with people including her girls Kelly Rowland and Solange (whose eclectic style seems to have rubbed off on Bey with the styling in this video).
The vid starts with Bey lounging in a plastic chair by a beer bottle filled kiddie pool and neon lawn flamingos in an outfit matching the busyness of the scene: a green faux fur vest and matching boots with a large hair bow and screaming pink lip that would make Nicki Minaj proud.
And what’s a pool party without some sexy swimwear? Here's the last new video we'll see of her svelte pre-baby body for a while: she flaunts her figure in a ruffled two-piece with mile-high pink-and-orange strappy sandals and shades while soaking up the sun in a solo shot and isn’t afraid to get a little wet in a plunging purple one-piece and drop earrings when she joins the action in the water.
Scene-wise, it definitely looks like the type of kickback we’d want to stop through, but are you feeling the flashy looks Beyoncé chose to get her “Party” on? We are.
