NFL Player Zurlon Tipton Dead After Accidentally Shooting Himself

Here are the tragic details.

Gone too soon and what's worse is the fact that it was all an accident.

Former Indianapolis Colts running back Zurlon Tipton died Tuesday after accidentally shooting himself at a car dealership in Michigan. He was 26.

According to Detroit's WJBK, Tipton pulled into the car dealership Tuesday morning and went to remove a duffel bag from the trunk of his car. The bag contained two guns and one of them accidentally discharged when Tipton touched it, shooting him in the stomach.

Although Tipton was talking after accidentally shooting himself, he later died due to the bullet wound.

Upon learning of the tragic, heartbreaking news, everyone from Colts owner Jim Irsay to former teammates and friends took to their Twitter accounts to react.

Tipton logged limited carries for the Colts over two seasons from 2014-15, before being cut by the squad last December.
