BET Announces 3 New Shows and 5 Returning Hits
It's been an amazing year, and it looks like it's about to get even better for BET! The network is happy to announce the addition of three new original shows to the programming line-up and the return of five already successful programs that fans have grown to love. Let's take a look at what's in store.

From executive producers Mara Brock Akil, Salim Akil (The Game, Being Mary Jane) and Kenya Barris (Soul Food, Girlfriends) comes a scripted comedy upgrade: The Start Up. Hip hop prince Diggy Simmons makes his scripted series debut as Blake Monroe, founder of TheJetsetters.com, an entertainment and lifestyle blog. The Start Up hones in on what it means to be young, gifted and digital, as Blake and his friends strategize for fame and financing while they navigate the freedoms and pressures of adulthood.

BET continues to transform unscripted music programming with Gone Gospel. Once popular artists in search of their next chapter and verse share a house, compete in weekly challenges and embark on a holistic journey to rebuild their careers recording inspirational music in an unfamiliar genre with star-making songwriters and producers. Real Husbands of Hollywood
The fakest reality show ever is a real-life runaway smash. Taking the No. 1 spot on Entertainment Weekly’s must-see list and garnering acclaim for both the Los Angeles Times and New York Times, Real Husbands of Hollywood is the No. 1 sitcom among all adults 18-49.
