Wendy Williams’ Son Claims Host’s Inner Circle is ‘Taking Advantage’ Amid Health Battle

Kevin Hunter Jr. also expressed concerns that his mom’s alleged struggle with substance abuse could become fatal.

Wendy Williams’ only son, Kevin Hunter Jr, has expressed grave concern regarding his mother’s health and those who claim to care about her well-being.

The 22-year-old recently sat down for a rare interview and discussed his mom’s reported battle with alcoholism and other health issues and how those conditions have made it easier for her inner circle to allegedly “take advantage” of her.

Kevin said to The Sun, “I know there are all sorts of things happening that I know in her right mind she would never agree to.” He also shared, "As hard as it is seeing her being taken advantage of, I know that if I'm making sure she, as a person, is okay, that is the important thing.”

Kevin believes his mother will “eventually,” become aware of “the craziness that's been going on.” He continued, "What's been made more important by the people around her is that while her health may not be great, she needs to keep on earning income, and in my opinion, that should not be a priority at all.” He alleged, “Whoever has been hired — they are taking advantage of someone who needs to get better."

Elsewhere, Kevin expressed worries over his mom’s alcohol consumption, stating that it "isn't like a normal person" and that "it's gotten to a point where yes, it could have that effect that it might be fatal."

Wendy's health issues reportedly have had a “compounding effect,” and isn’t letting her body process alcohol like an average person, according to Kevin, who claimed to be in attendance at various doctor’s appointments.

"There are a lot of people who are very aware that there is an issue with her drinking and how that issue may be helped,” he said before adding, “but I think these people are taking advantage of it while allowing it to play out to make it look like they aren't causing the issue."

Williams has been battling Graves' disease and lymphedema for some time now. The talk show host initially announced her health status in 2018 before taking a break from her since-canceled award-winning daytime series, The Wendy Williams Show.
