Watch Behind-the-Scenes Video of Jhené Aiko's 'Eternal Sunshine'

The singer made the emotional visual a family affair.

Jhené Aiko is one fearless chick, both physically and mentally. The "Spotless Mind" songstress recently dropped the video for her latest single "Eternal Sunshine" where she is seen suspended above a crash scene. What is more impressive though is that, as we see in the behind-the-scenes footage, it was all a recreation of a real-life experience for the star.

"We reenacted the car accident that I was in," she told Billboard. "I'm ascending from my body. I basically died in this video. Miyoko and Nami, my sister and my daughter... I got them to reenact their parts. I wasn't driving in the real accident, but for the sake of the video, I am. I was in the baskseat."

Revisiting such a painful moment in time had to be a tough task for the singer as, though all who were involved survived, she eventually lost one of her brothers, Miyagi Hasani Ayo Chilombo, to cancer. In the clip, her nephew plays her now deceased brother during happier times: playing in front of their grandmother's house.

"I would say that this is where most of the good things have happened," she said while looking on as the kids played in a water balloon fight.

Though she said that her grandmother's house brought back mostly positive memories, Aiko still broke down while the footage was being filmed. The tears kept coming when she continued reminiscining about her childhood, eventually remembering her late brother.

"We just watched what we did yesterday. This is the house we grew up in," she said. "It's the house my brother passed away in... It was like I said, it was all the best memories... Our best memories were here."

Such a brave soul. Check out the BTS video below.
