Prince Cancels His European Tour Following Paris Shootings
Following the recent terrorist shootings in Paris, several major music acts from U2 to the Foo Fighters have backed out of performing in the city. Now, Prince is following suit, canceling the remainder of his Prince Spotlight: Piano and a Microphone tour.
According to Billboard, the trek, which included 16 cities, was set to hit Europe at the end of the month. The news was first broken by the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, which was due to be one of the stops on the "Purple Rain" crooner's tour.
The Purple One's cancellations come just after the tragic shootings that occurred at the concert venue Le Bataclan in Paris on Friday night (Nov. 13). More than 100 lives were reportedly lost in the massacre.
